Most fans call her "Leaf" because that's what her character is called in the game data. However, "Green" would be a more official name, since that's what she's called in the manga (in the English version, that is. Her name is swapped with Blue's in the Japanese version), and although the manga is by no means canon, it can be more reliable than unused game data. If you only went by game data, then Blue would be called "Terry", as he is called in Red and Blue's internal data. But Gold/Silver/Crystal/HeartGold/SoulSilver clearly contradict this, as well as the official manga. So in her case, Green would be the more official name, as opposed to Leaf. Plus, Green makes much more sense than Leaf. If her name was Leaf, then there would be Red, Blue, and...Leaf? WTF? So, yeah, even though Bulbapedia calls her Leaf, the better name would be Green.
