Resetti Randomly Appearing?

Today when started I playing Animal Crossing, Resetti suddenly appeared and lectured me. I was NOT expecting him because 1) I didn't reset, and 2) last night, I saved properly. I HATE Resetti, so I always make sure the game is actually saved before turning it off. Last night, since I wasn't in any rush to turn it off, I remember waiting to reach the title screen before turning off my Wii. I don't get why he appeared.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? It doesn't even have to been on this game, I just want to know if it's happened at all.

Thats... really weird. I think it's happened to me a few times in ACWW, but that was when I was using an AR. It's a little weird I've never heard of that happening in PG.

Check the memory card. It could be corrupt or something.

Like I said, I remember waiting until I reached the title screen after saving before turning off the Wii. I REALLY hate Resetti. The first time I played my cousin's AC:GC game, he appeared and freaked me out so much I almost cried. I've made a point to avoid him ever since then, and I thought I was doing a pretty good job at it.

After I saved today, I decided to load my character again, just to see if he'd appear again, and didn't get Resetti. My stuff was all there too, including some I'd just bought at Nook's, so I don't think the memory card is corrupted. And I checked the disc, but it was clean. It really makes me wonder, though...

It is a little weird I guess, but brush it off. If it was only once, then ignore it. Maybe the memory card screwed up. Nothing to really worry about though.

I bought it used a few days ago at a local video game store, so I don't know how old it is. But it DID have a town on it already so I checked one of the characters, and the animals didn't seem surprised to see the character, so I guess it was played pretty recently.

That's terrible. You have to be sure you have the receipt if you want to return it, so maybe that's why.

That is really weird, I have had my copy of Animal Crossing Population Growing since 2004-2005 near when it released and I've not had Mr. Resetti randomly appearing at all...

did you create a new town? resetti will appear when you go online the second time to warn you about resetting.
