Reluctant Villagers (That are Moving)?

I have had a good amount of villagers move out, some while I'm not playing, some I've successfully moved out and some that ask and I'm indifferent about. Twiggy pinged me to move and I thought, sure why not. Every day since her decision she talks to me about how she DOESN'T want to move and I get the option to keep her. I've never had a villager be so reluctant to move, yes, I've had her for like 3 years but I'm just shocked by how many times she keeps asking for reassurance. IT'S MAKING ME FEEL GUILTY (and this chick is fictional!). Girlfriend is still moving out, even if she apparently doesn't want to...

Has this ever happened to any of you?

Yep, Merengue for me. She moved right in front of my house because I forgot to plot reset her and she kept asking for reassurance and it made me feel really bad :')

I made the mistake of talking to Dizzy after I agreed to let him move. One more look at those big, soulful eyes of his while he asked if he should leave and I just couldn't let him go. I'm such a softie. I do like him, but there are other lazies that I like much more.

I always have to avoid speaking to them once they've agreed to move, even if they ping. I've had it before where they've changed their minds and because I didn't save before talking to them, all of the work I did for that day was gone. Out of interest, is she pinging you to speak to you daily? Or are you just chatting generally?
I would just run away from the pings. Actually, I normally just tt to their moving date now since I tend to be in a hurry to get the replacement.

I haven't had this happen to me. I Usually just ignore villagers that are going to move. However, once I told a villager to leave and they were like, "Nah, I don't know you well. I'm going to stay." That is the worst.
