How long will items villagers put on the flea market stay there? Do I have to buy them and then sell them myself to create more space?

pretty sure forever unless you or someone else buys or another villager in your town shows interest and you tell them to buy

They'll stay there until someone buys them. If you're tired of looking at them, buy them and sell them to Reese.

I always just let the villagers who are inside retail. I kind of creates a cool little cycle.

They'll stay there forever on their own. The only way to remove them in order to make some space is to have you or another player buy them, or let another villager buy them with your consent.

From my experience if a villager is in re-tail they will eventually ask you if they should buy an item.

I replaced the items with my own items at high prices to deter villagers from selling off their furniture.

Also, I believe that a villager's furniture will disappear from Re-Tail when that villager moves.

The objects disappear when someone buy them or when the villager who has put it there move to another city.

They'll stay there forever until somebody buys them. Although i've heard that sometimes villagers can buy things without your knowing, so you'd better watch out for that.

Some players use retail for holding items. They price it at 999K so the villager can't buy or put items up for sale.

That's usually to prevent villagers from selling their furniture there, messing up their houses. Using Re-Tail for eight extra storage spaces isn't really worth it.

As everyone else is saying, forever or until that villager moves out. If you want rid of those items, either buy them or push another villager in front of them until that villager pings. Next, just tell them to buy it. Note that this will mess up their house.

Yeah I think it'll stay until someone, you or your villagers buy it? I'm not sure if it'll disappear if it stayed too long and go into the lost and found at the poilice station.. It sounds like it will most likely stay there for a while, it it gets in the way you could just purchase it and sell it to Reese for quick space and less time consuming
