Does anyone know if there is some artwork that's harder to get than others? I thought perhaps it was just my luck but there's been no sign of the real Robust statue in any of the three towns I play with. Lots of fakes though....
I thought perhaps that with certain fish being rarer and harder to find and the same with insects perhaps it's true of Crazy Redd's works as well.
That's actually an interesting theory :/ I'm just starting to collect art. Weirdly enough my villagers have decided to give me like 4 real paintings in the last week which was nice.
I'd love to know the answer as well if anyone knows for sure xD
Maybe it will help to figure that out if people post the paintings they found the most, for me its the serene one. I got it 4x! Scary 2x, moody 2x, valiant 3x, fine 2x!
This is probably really obvious, but it does seem like the paintings where there is no fake show up a lot, probably because they don't have the 50/50 chance of them not being real anyway.
The last 3 times Redd has shown up in my town there have been 3 real sculptures, which I normally don't often get.
I always seem to get similar art in my town when Redd is there, so I have (or had as I traded some away) duplicates of the same pieces a lot. Not sure if this differs town to town, but it definitely seems that some pieces of art are rarer than others for me at least!
In my case i didnt get the robust statue original to show up either, however all the other have already been sold by redd, but I have seen people who struggle with art that I usually have goten several times, probably it is random and plain luck.
I hardly ever get real sculptures when Redd shows up and often get the same genuine paintings over and over. I thought it was just random luck - or bad luck, as it has been going lately. And it once took me months in one town to get a real Mystic Statue. I bought the fakes for my house, but still, a real one for the Museum would have been nice.
I'll keep track from now on and see what the patterns is, if any, in what I get. I do know I have a few towns and there are works of art I have never, ever seen. So...what's Redd up to? Maybe he's selling the good ones to my villagers and if I don't talk to them at the right time I won't get a chance to buy it! J/K...but it sure feels like that sometimes.
