Random question about house customization

Hey guys,

I was just wondering, when can you customize the exterior of your house (like the wall part, I can already change the mailbox, door, and roof)? Right now I have all first floor rooms and want to expand to a top floor for more storage space. I also want to change the exterior of my house, but do NOT want a basement. Pleaseee tell me once you get the top floor you can customize the exterior! D:
