Rainbows

...Are there rainbows in the games? I?ve played since launch and I don?t recall ever seeing a rainbow. Are they just like super rare? Lol.

Yes, there are rainbows in New Leaf. Sometimes you can even see double rainbows but those are quite rare. That's weird that you haven't seen even a regular one if you've been playing since launch. I guess they're rare enough that someone could conceivably go years without seeing one.

I've seen rainbows quite a few times! I absolutely love rainbows so I'm always super happy to see one!

If you haven't seen one yet, try playing after it rains in the game for a while. I think that's when they usually show up, although they are a bit rare.

My New Leaf town, Flora's DA has a double rainbow in the sky.

i saw a rainbow quite recently in my friends town when i went and visited, i think the trick is going after it rains.

I'd say that rainbows aren't all that rare considering that there's a fair number of rainy days in the game and a rainbow usually follows.Some rainbows are more vivid than others....the bottom two screenshots were in my town Quackle and for some reason that double rainbow was more bright and colorful than most other rainbows I've seen in the game.

I never realized rainbows were supposed to be rare, because I've gotten them lots of times. I mean it's not like every day or anything, but they do frequently turn up when the weather is just particularly nice. Now that we're into winter I don't expect to see them much since there's less moisture in the air then, but yeah, I always saw them as an occasional thing rather than rare. I even get double rainbows often enough that I didn't think of it as a big deal. Is my game just especially generous?

I've only seen a rainbow in my towns once after two years of playing, but they're more of a daytime thing and I almost always play in the evenings so I don't really expect to see them that late in the day.

I get rainbows and double rainbows rather often in comparison to some people. I had no clue they were supposedly rare!
I only play during morning to afternoon hours between 10am to 3pm.

Really? Well I have only seen single rainbows, I don't think I have ever seen a double rainbow, haha. Just like the others said; just wait for a while after a rainy day.

I personally have a much harder time getting a purple sunrise then a rainbow.

Rainbows usually happen in summer since it rains more but I have gotten one in autumn after it rained. Let's say it rains at 12pm then stops at 1pm. The best time to see a rainbow will be somewhere between 1:15 and 1:30 or so, that's when rainbows are the brightest and boldest. At 1pm on the dot you may not even see a rainbow at first. Rainbows gradually appear, get brighter, very bright then gradually get less and less vivid. They only last an hour too, they don't last all day.
