Idk if this has been talked about, but I just noticed that when it rains all the flowers are watered!

After my first rainy day, I noticed pink pansies growing in the northern most region of my town which I rarely hangout in. It’s raining again today and I looked and alllll my flowers are sparkling!

Just a new little feature that I adore

Same I love that. I don’t think new leaf did that

Lazy me secretly hopes for a rainy day so I don't have to do any watering hehe.

Does anyone know if weather can change throughout the day?

Yes it can! On my island it was raining yesterday morning, but the sun was shining in the afternoon. I actually thought my villagers watered the flowers, but the rain seems a more logical explanation. :-)

I'm pretty sure that feature was in New Leaf as well, but yeah, really covenient when you have lots of flowers!

Yes, weather can change throughout the day! It's really fun to see how a downpour gradually turns into lighter rain and eventually clear skies. :)

AFAIK this was always a thing, at least I'm sure it was in NL. You can tell if the flowers are watered when they have a little sparkle surrounding them, and they all have that when it rains. :)

I never noticed it in new leaf; I had hybrid stations everywhere and never saw growth unless I watered
I love that its back then!

I never cared much about flowers in NL but I hope to get into them now.. Reminds me of being happy about rainy days in stardew valley before you get the sprinklers hehee

In NL, rain would water your flowers to ensure that they wouldn't be wilted the next day, but if you wanted hybrids from them, you had to water them yourself. I use to use this feature to increase my chances of getting the blue rose or any other hybrids that I wanted at the moment.

I wouldn't have to worry about my other flowers wilting while ensuring that the only hybrid station that would produce flowers the next day would be the hybrid station that I wanted flowers from the most.

I believe the rainwater in NL did not make your flowers sparkle, so they seemed to be unwatered even though they were.
