Rafflesia

XD So in WW my town was a mess and I had 3 rafflesias in my town.

In NL, I instantly pick up every single weed in sight because those ugly things are rediculous.

I'm kinda curious as to who's had them/has them.

My question is, do I have to have a Rafflesia in my town to catch any certain insects like in Wild World? I hate the thought of letting my town go to the weeds

I ask because there is a Rafflesia in the insect exhibit in the museum so I think there is a chance that I do.

You have to work to get a Rafflesia in ACNL. Apparently, it's not enough to chop down all trees, demolish all Public Works, and remove all flowers. I had to dig up all stumps, and spread garbage and items to get one to appear. I'm doing some research to see how to get rid of it. Merely pulling weeds will not get rid of it. Also, planting dozens of trees does not get rid of it. I suspect it's survival is linked to garbage/items on the ground.

The Rafflesia seems to always be accompanied with Flies. You can get Flies by dropping garbage (Empty Can, Boot, Old Tire, Spoiled Tunips) on the ground.

You don't need the Rafflesia to catch bugs, they just have it in the museum because flies like it.

I remember long ago way back probably around 2006 or 2007 in AC:WW, I got a Rafflesia in one of the games due to that town being in the worst condition. Upon pulling out all of the weeds, the flower died and it disappeared the next day. Though, a Rafflesia had so many flies buzzing around it, I think more than it did with boots, cans or old tires on the ground.

I have never gotten a Rafflesia in my town in AC:NL, since I always pull out every regular weed that I see.

I remember in CF I once had to reset my game because there was an undying Rafflesia blocking the entrance to my Able Sisters. I couldn't get in it. DX

The word Rafflesia reminds me of something completely different, but I've never seen one. My current town is full if weeds though so I might see one soon.

Try dropping like a 5x5 thing of trash, but leave an empty space in the center. A rafflesia will almost definitely spawn either nearby or in the empty spot in the center.

Oh thank goodness, I guess I will drop a boot on the ground whenever I find one^^
