R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy

Leonard Nimoy, best known for his role as Mr. Spock in the original Star Trek series, died today as a result of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 83.

And yet it should be noted, in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new world; a world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish. As a lifelong Trekkie, I am deeply saddened by this. I enjoyed him in not only reruns of the original show, but the newer Star Trek movies, and his cameo on that one Big Bang Theory episode was very funny.

So long, Mr. Nimoy. May your memory and talent live on forever.

He lived a long life though. And he contributed a lot to the entertainment industry in his time. Rest in peace, bud.

I'm glad to see theres a thread for remembrance here and just.
God.

Leonard Nimoy was such a big part of my childhood.
I already made a post on tumblr about it, but God, he will be dearly missed.
But he lived long, and he definitely prospered in the end.
I'm sure he's resting peacefully.
