Hi all!

I'm trying to do the method where you have identified a date where a villager has the move-out thought bubble... and now you are traveling back and forth between "real time" and that date, in order to zero in on the villager you are trying to get rid of.

My question is:

1. Do you just go back and forth between "real time" and the "move-out bubble date" until the villager you want to get rid of has a bubble over their head?

OR

2. Do you have to find/identify the villager during the "move-out bubble date", and tell him/her no, save, then travel back to "real time" until you hit the right villager for move out?

I'm reading different guides online and it's been a bit confusing to me. Thanks for any help!

The way my friend explained it is:

- TT 15-30 days (she says that the longer the time, the more likely the odds a villager is thinking of moving, but I just stuck with 15 days) Also, travel to about noon-1p. That's when most villagers are out of their house.

- Look for villagers that have the bubble. If you find one, but it is NOT the villager you want to leave, save without speaking to them, and close the game. Change the time to the day after and repeat.

- If it is the villager you want to leave, talk to them and tell them it's okay for them to leave.

- Save, travel forward a day, check in on them. Save again and close the game.

- Travel forward one more day and the plot will be empty!

Note: She gave me the advice to keep repeating that first day that the plot is open so Nook won't fill the slot before you can find a villager you want on the Mystery Isle. When you're ready to put the game away for the day, just set the clock back to 6am that morning and you can continue searching tomorrow! (I usually set the clock back to about 7-8a before I open the game up just so I make sure I don't accidentally hit the next day!)

I hope I this helps and if you have questions, please let me know!

I like 2 because for me I feel like its more consistent tbh. And I don't like time traveling too far, so if you don't like doing months at a time. The second option is good
