So, I haven't played ACNL in two weeks mainly because I'm busy. So, the game has decided to punish me by making Marshal move out. So, I have three*** questions.

1. On the screen that has Isabelle saying "One of our residents...blah...blah..." if I close my 3ds and don't open it until the next day, will he still be there or will he move?

2. I changed the date to the 4th which was the last day I played. I thought that stopped them from moving out but I guess not. I've heard of a TT method on how to stop them from moving. Does anyone know what it is?

EDIT:

3. I have the date set at Jan 4th. However, I popped out the cartridge but never logged in. If I TT back a day, will Marshal still be gone or will it still say Marshal is moving? I mean, she repeated the message and she usually doesn't do that if you log back into the game the same day. However, I never actually logged in since I quit when she was in her chat bubble speech.

1. Nope. Town's loaded now, can't do anything about it. Sorry!

2. I think you're talking about the 6 day method. You need a new character for that...I think that's what you're talking about. Care to provide a more detailed description?

Someone on here I think had Hazel move out. And then they TT'd backwards I believe and they had them back. I really can't remember since it was awhile I ago.

If Isabelle mentions someone is leaving, then they are in boxes and all packed up and that is their last day in town.

Does anyone know what it is? you have to deny a villagers moving request before you can stop playing successfully if that's what you mean. If you don't stop someone you risk losing a villager.

Sorry was unsure what exactly you wanted to know by the second question

I don't think you can reverse the move.. So sorry to hear about your situation.. D: once you load up the town after 6 a.m. it can't be reversed.

Next time you miss some days, if you are worried about losing your dreamies/villagers, just change the date to the day you last played or close to the last day.. Until recently I was on a break from AC for like 5 months, and I just looked at the activity log on my DS to see my last day I played so no one moved out.

Yeah tell me about it. I couldn't put the game down for a couple of days without a favourite village wanting to move. Of course I haven't played for a month and all of my favourite villagers have moved now.

I've lost lots of dreamies due to not playing for a while. Now I've decided to load up the game every two days to check for people moving. I suggest doing the same. It only takes a few minutes!

Sorry for your loss though. :( once they move, they move. You can't reverse it, sadly.

A few minutes I don't have, unfortunately. To be honest, I've grown tired of it. Last time I stopped playing, I reset my entire game but I honestly don't see myself doing it now. I've spent way more hours than my previous town. What a stupid concept, though...

About changing the date to the last time played this is what I did. I removed the cartridge first and changed the date, turned off the ds and pop in the cartridge and load the game. Not sure if that's helpful. I thought this was more secure than changing the date while having the cartridge in place.

I'm guessing you changed the date after you saw Isabelle's message about Marshals move. You should have changed the date to the 4th or 5th before you decided to load up the game on current date first; I understand that you haven't actually played or logged into your town, but when you hit 'continue' and you see the dialogue saying 'your town is being prepared', your town loads up on a new day and can't be undone I believe. Isabelle probably repeated her msg because you haven't actually logged in yet..

No, I changed the date beforehand because I knew I hadn't been on for two weeks.

Ohh okay, I misunderstood then.. my bad on that.

Then it has noting to do with you missing two weeks.. Marshal decided to move without telling (or pinging) you about it... There was a recent thread about that- having villagers move without telling the player.. I'm so sorry D:

I have tried that to stop punchy from moving out and it didn't work...sadly i do not think there is a way to make them stay if they are in boxes...If you really love marshal I suggest even tho its a huge thing to do is to make a new town.
