Questions for those with the game already" Region lock for events or seasons?

I am moving to another hemisphere in a few months. If I buy the game where I am currently, and the move, will changing my location in my Nintendo account also update the location in-game to match seasons and events?

No. Its based entirely on your choice when you start the game. It asks you what hemisphere you'd like your island to be in.
