questions about fertilizer and perfect fruit

Hi everyone I looked at the Animal Crossing Wiki and didnt quite understand what it says about fertilizer. I have the largest T and T store and the combined garden dept. I dont remember ever seeing fertilizer but I dont pay close attention the the gardening things (i hardly every buy flowers and only realized a day or so ago he sells bush starts I always thought they were tree saplings)... So it says youve got to have the largest store, have passed 4 gracie fashion checks... etc. I have the largest store but have only ever passed 1 of Gracies fashion checks. Do I need to pass more before they will carry fertilizer??? What does that have to do with anything anyway...

Ok so if i get some, it will increase my changes of growing perfect fruit (which is what i really want it for) So, I just bury it in a spot next to a fruit tree right?

Ok, so does the tree need to be fully grown? Do i have to shake it and make it bare first or do I leave the fruit on the tree when I bury it?

And how many days will it take for a perfect fruit to grow (i understand its only a chance so... how long do i wait before i find out if its worked)??? Will one of the fruits already on the tree just turn perfect or does it happen after new fruit has grown?

Sorry for all the questions, The A.C. wiki really doesnt make sense to me, and I really want perfect fruit soon, my main project at the moment is moving trees and deciding what fruits I want grown.

Isn't fertilizer supposed to help you regrow grass and stuff? I've never seen fertilizer connected with growing perfect fruit...then again, I'm probably wrong, because I don't care much about fruit trees anymore.

The only perfect fruit you're going to get is from your native fruit, so if the native fruit in your town are pears, then you're not going to get perfect peaches.

Fruit will only appear on trees once they are fully grown, there is no in-between period.

Ok, well the a.c. wiki said something about if you plant it near flowers it increases their breeding, if you plant it next to a tree it increases the chances of growing a perfect fruit.

So, I have peaches as my native fruit, but got a perfect apple in the mail from my mom.

I planted the perfect apple and a regular apple tree grew...

Ive never seen a random perfect peach just growing...

So... CAN I have a perfect apple tree at all? How does one get?... And even if its limited to peaches for me... when do i plant the friggin fertalizer? when it has fruit on it or after ive shaken the fruit off? Why cant you just plant a perfect fruit and get a perfect tree that really sucks!?

No, you cannot have a perfect apple grow in your town, if it is not your native fruit.

However, if you have perfect peaches, then you can get a perfect peach tree.

Fertilizer stuff, you're going to have to ask someone else, sorry!

Ok well thank you anyway, So I guess I understand I can ONLY have perfect peaches grow in my town. Ok, I still dunno how to get the first perfect peach but its ok ill figure that one out... now what im curious about is wtf good are the other perfect fruits when I get them. I could eat it... sell it... and thats it? I want shiny apples dammit!

Yeah, there isn't much practical use for foreign perfect fruit. But if you have a perfect apple and one of your villagers ask for an apple, you could give it to them. They love perfect fruit. I think that will increase your friendship level more than if you gave them a regular apple. Their reaction is almost better than if they gave you their picture

And about the fertilizer; It's sold every day. Look for a brownish yellow bag on the shelf with the persimmon/bamboo shoot. I've never used it to make perfect fruit trees, so I can't help you there.

If that's the case, you can always reset until you get a town with apples as the native fruit.

yup thats where i was wrong thank you... i dont have the largest store... anyways I still really wish you could grow all the fruits as perfect fruits.

does every fruit have a perfect version of itself? (like is it possible to have perfect coconuts, bananas, persimmons, mangoes, durian, lychees)? --> i guess, in other words, is it possible to have these as native fruits?

becoz it seems like all the native fruits are ordinary fruits like: apple, cherries, oranges, peaches, pears, lemons..

just my observation in my limited experience so far...

No. Tropical fruits do not have perfect versions of themselves because they are never a town's native fruit.

I have not been able to grow a perfect fruit yet, but when I do come across one I store it in my museum until one of my villiagers ask for a perfect fruit.
As for the fertilisor , I plant them with my flowers but have not noticed a difference.
