Question about Void Clearing

I already know you need to visit a town with 10 villagers to clear your void, but I never knew exactly what villager is in your void that is given to towns. Is it usually the villager you last voided that gets sent to towns? I'm just wondering because if friend voids a villager and comes to me, I don't want that villager. However, if they void and I go to them, the last villager I voided is the villager they want from me. Just wondering how that aspect works. Thanks!

Whatever villager last moved out of your town is considered your voided villager unless you clear your void to remove them.

There's some theories going round at the moment that you can't actually clear your void. But that your voided villager goes to the person you've visited's void and they can still pass them on. Someone had a villager they moved out, they thought they cleared their void, but then that villager still turned up somewhere else and said they came from the first town.

the void thing isnt really cleared yet. i once got a villager from someone else they've voided months ago!
and one of my friends got one from me who moved a while ago too.
tbh i dont really think you can clear your void..
