question about uchi receiving clothes

hey I just had a question, has anyone gave their uchi clothes and they love it? every time I give pashmina clothes she says its not her style

I gave Deirdre the Folk Shirt and she has been wearing it for days. Didn't have any luck with other clothing though.

how interesting. i handed agnes a black and white dress a while back and she said she liked it and has been wearing it quite a bit. (i wish i could recall the name but i haven't booted the game up today yet). i'll try giving her another article of clothing today.

I gave Agnes a sailor shirt for her birthday and she loved it so much she wrote me a letter the next day saying how much she loves it.

to clarify, pashmina still says thank you and wears whatever I gave her occasionally but the last three items I noticed her dialogue was always the same, saying its not her style but she's glad I gave it to her or that she was looking for something like that for a while

i gave muffy the visual punk dress, and she said the same exact thing, but she still wears it!

I haven't really had a problem with my Uchi villagers wearing what I give them, but I sort of base it on what I think they would like? I give Cherry lots of black clothing. I gave Fuchsia a Labelle Coat and liked how she looked in it so much, I can't remember if I've given her anything else other than that.
