So, after a lot of tting accumulated over a year of playing, I'm about two months ahead in game. I want to set it back to today, and play from there, and after a little experimentation, I have a few questions.

In the past, I've done short term tting and its been like this: (Example)
It's the 15th, and I finish with my day. I save and go to the 16th, get through the day, and then decide to go can to the 15th. I save and quit, and change the day to the 15th. Start up the game and the items in stock are different, camper is different, special visitor is (possibly) different.

So if I go back in time a few months, and play the game like normal, will I be playing through the same days I've already loaded up, with same item stock, guests, etc., or will they be completely different?

I do alot of back and forth tting and I have found that each day is a roll of the dice. Its not written in stone.

nope :) It will jsut be like a normal day, Also as far as I know If you TT backwards say 2 months all at one time the game only treats it as 1 day forward so you shouldn't lose any villagers either ^_^

It will be like any other day so the items and stuff will be random as always. The only difference you may experience is seasonal things if you're in a different season but that's the only thing I can think of. No matter how far back you go, the game treats that as 1 day forward, so keep that in mind... that's helpful to know since it means you won't see major changes in villagers but also, if you're expecting a villager to ping you or move out, take that into account.

If you're afraid about anything going wrong, create a new side character, go through the train conversation with Rover, then when Porter gives you the town map, check if nobody's missing. They probably won't be if it's only one day forward, so no changes that wouldn't be already happening the way you already TT but you can do that just in case. Also you don't have to save that character, once you've looked at their map just quit without saving and load as your mayor.
