Question About Text in City Folk

If I'm correct, it was possible to use Japanese characters in Wild World. Does anyone know if this is still possible in City Folk? If so, I'll probably name my town みどりville (Greenville).

I take Japanese class, and those are Japanese letters.

I'm sad. The forums won't let me put グリーンヴィル as my ACCF Town. It says "The field "ACCF Town" is longer than the maximum 10 characters. Error Code: 30054:561" When did 7 become 10? (And why is the character limit 10 instead of 8, anyway?)

hmmm seeing as they do change alot of thing in ac... i think they should keep the japanese in. And they probably are...i could be wrong.
