Question about star fragments

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I invited my girlfriend over to my island to collect star fragments during a meteor shower and we spent over an hour wishing on close to 200 stars. I know we won't get that many, but my question was: Will her star fragments wash up on her beach, even though she wished on my island? Or will they count as my fragments and wash up on my beach because it was my island she was at?

like if you didn't make any wishes at all but someone else did you'd still get frags?

Nope, sorry. You both get fragments relative to the number of wishes you each made. So if you made one wish and your friend made 40, you would only get one fragment. You can just earn your own wishes in any town.

Something to note as idk if either of you TT but... the date needs to be the same on BOTH games.
I dont know if this has been changed at all but my sisters town was a few days ahead of mine when i went over for a meteor shower and when I went to the next morning there were no stars. When I changed my date to match hers I was able to get stars.
