Question About Lost Item

I have this lost item stuck in my pocket. Its a little blue and white striped sack. I found it today and I have talked to all of my villagers and they say it is not theirs. I have even tried taking it to the lost and found and he said he is to busy to go looking around for it.

I have chicken in my campsite and what I want to know is could it be his? I don't want to talk to him because I only have 1 space left in my town and Lobo is moving in tomorrow. I don't want to mess up my game. If it is his item will I be able to get rid off it after he leaves? If I talk to him will he move in? I have never used the campsite before.

Please help. I don't want this item stuck in my pocket forever....

When you talk to him, he won't move in. When campers want to move in, they will hint it and then the game will give you a choice to ask them to move in. And if the lost item does turn out to be the camper's, I will be surprised because I thought it wasn't possible.

I've found a lost item before and forgot to find who's it was but a day later it let me get rid of it at re-tail.

Oh thank goodness. I have talked to everyone and they say that it is not theirs so I am not sure. It showed up today when the camper showed up. I will try talking to all of my villagers again and if its not theirs then I will try the camper.

Ok It turns out it was Tabby's. I was positive I asked him earlier. But it turns out it was the kittens lost mitten lol. Thank you so much for your help.
