Question about inviting villagers to move to your town.

So I was wondering. If you have a moving villager in your town (Let's say Roscoe) , and you will trade him for another villager in another person's town, will the the villager from the other person's town accept the invitation or will the prompt not appear because if you already have 10 villagers maximum, one is currently in boxes and you want to trade him for another villager in boxes in a different town.Will the different villager accept your invitation?

You cannot invite anyone into your town if you have 10 villagers, which includes the villager in boxes unfortunately.
