Question about golden roses

Hey,
I?ve been putting aside the idea of making golden roses for so long simply because I have flowers literally everywhere around my town and I don?t want to let them wilt at all.
I?ve been thinking about it again though and I had a few questions because I can?t really remember (and thought it would be easier to ask than search and not be 100% sure of the multiple answers I?d get from multiples places).

When I remove the beautiful town ordinance, how many days does it take for flowers to wilt? Two days? Three?

Let?s say three. On the third day they will all be wilted but still here, right? So if I make sure to water them all back, they will be fine the next day? (I?m talking about all the flowers, not just black/golden roses)
I really want to make sure of this, I really don?t want to lose any ^^
Thanks :)

About the wilted flowers, they can be brought back if you water them all before the next day. I have so many flowers in my town, it could be random which flowers will last before wilting. Some will wilt after 4 days, some after just a couple of days.

On a sidenote I noticed that there will be a higher number of wilted flowers if you didn't play for a couple of days when compared to playing everyday where there are fewer (I hope you understand my explanation lol).

For example, the first set of flowers wilted on the first day but you didn't play at all. The second set of flowers then wilted on the next day and the first set of wilted flowers are still there. It's hard to explain, but the wilted flowers seem to last longer if you didn't play for a few days. Of course, after those days passed with inactivity of playing, those wilted flowers will disappear. They work very weird that they die off after one day if you played for that day.

In summary, flowers in Animal Crossing are very weird.

oh boy this is not helping me haha

If I understood correctly, my best guess is that I should log on/time travel every single day to watch out for any (regular) wilted flower and water them, and so on until all of my black roses are wilted (so I can water them and then they should turn into golden and everything would be "as normal" again after that) ?

My town is almost 99% flowers, there are flowers everywhere. I also wanted golden roses so I cancelled the beautiful town ordinance and had to water the other flowers everyday, but there were so many, that even with my best efforts, many died. I would suggest to hide the ones that are harder to get in your locker, if you have space.

So yes, you should water others every day and not wait for them to wilt. Concerning the black roses, you should water them as soon as they wilt, if I remember well, they won't all wilt at the same time and if you wait too long some will disappear.

Ok, so once you turn the Beautiful Town Ordinance off, you need to start watering your other flowers the next day to make sure they don't wilt. If they do wilt, you can water them while they are wilted to bring them back to normal. But in my experience the day after they wilt, if you don't water them they are gone forever.

Only so many flowers will wilt each day, so not all of your black roses will wilt at once. So you will need to water the ones that wilt the same day or they will die.

I turned my Beautiful Town Ordinance off last year to build up a few weeds for weeding day. I have so very many flowers and it was a pain to keep up with them even for just a week.

I like Aniko's suggestion. You can store a bunch of your other hybrids in your locker or even in your house or the upstairs museum exhibits until you finish getting your gold roses. That will probably be a lot easier and a whole lot less risky.

I don't know about how many flowers you have, but if you water all of the wilted flowers, save and quit, and not log on for a couple of days, you shouldn't fear any of them disappearing. At least you won't have to check every single day which can get tiresome, especially when they've basically invaded your town. I hope you understood my explanation if not, let me and other people on the forums know. :)

Yup I thought of this but my locker is full :/ I thought about keeping 2 flowers of each "rare"/latest species I got (blue roses, purple pansies etc) in my house, as I did with Jacobs for a while, but I'm afraid that even this would be a pain with all the random furniture I have in my rooms haha (as I can't even put all of it in my locker in the first place)

I might end up doing that for at least a few I could fit in my house, and then I'll try to be super careful and water everything everyday without missing spots and hope for the best ^^
