Question about fossils and flowers

I plan on covering every inch of unused grass with flowers in my town in the near future. Will fossil spots still appear then? Or will they appear underneath flowers?

I'm pretty sure that once a spot has a flower over it, a fossil can no longer appear there. So you probably won't get fossils anymore if you cover every space with flowers. I'm not 100% positive on this though!

If that ends up being the case, maybe setting up designated fossil collection spots wouldn't be a bad idea...

Hahaha, I was about to advise you to set up an area to collect them. Don't forget gyroids will need spaces too. Leave about 7 spaces altogether.

Do you mean a 7x7 square or something else?
