PWP question about TABBY (and only her/him)

In Paarl, my main town, I have the fairy-tale theme.

Since Sept 2013, I have had Tabby, a peppy cat. A few months back, I got a second peppy Tangy.

Tabby is one of my favorite villagers, so I talk to her quite a lot.


In all that time, I barely got any PWP requests from her.

I'm more or less desperate to finally alter my common bridges into fairy-tale ones.

Since a month or so, I make a habit out of using the PWP-ocean-trick. But it doesn't work on her either.


The funny thing is, when other villagers talk about Tabby, they refer to Tabby as being a male, using words like "him", "his", "he"...,

----> so is Tabby male and therefore not even a peppy (in spite of what websites/pages say) and therefore will never ask for that bridge ?



Also, do villagers stop asking for PWP's after you have a certain amount in your town ?

Tabby definitely is a peppy and a female, so she will be able to request the peppy pwps. If you have 3 bridges already in your town though, villagers will not be able to ping for those. You have to destroy one before you can do the wetsuit trick and get her to request the fairy tale bridge.

Sometimes the game has things like that where there's a mistake or something weird happens. Frita often calls other villagers and human characters by the wrong gender, so it's no big deal really. The guides are generally correct.

Is that confirmed? And where? Cuz I've always had three bridges almost immediately in all my towns and I had gotten a couple of bridge requests in my first town, but don't think I've had any since. I need different bridges in all of my towns so now I'm worried I need to delete some...

In my experience, yes you have to have less than 3 bridges in order to get a new one from a ping. I had three for a long time, then decided I wanted to go after all the PWPs and once I deleted one, I got the brick bridge. Still waiting on the fairy-tale one myself!

As for which bridge to delete, I chose my middle one so I can still go in a circle around town and check everything out.

Edit: Also, it gives that info on the wiki (not that that means it's 100% accurate), but that combined with my experience leads me to believe it's the case.

I think it doesn't matter if you already have the 3 bridges. PWP requests are just random and have always been a weird thing.

For sure, the villagers still request you new PWP despite you already have 30 built, but not 100% sure about the bridges to be honest...

As far as I know, the best thing you can do is enter the game, go to a corner of the sea with your swimsuit, wait for about 5-8min, and then walk arround the town. Some villager will do the surprise expression and will ask you for something. Anyway, notice that the villager may be anyone, also may ask you whatever he/she wants (bring some fruit, ask you for fishes/bugs, etc.)

But doing that for a while will end in someone asking you for a PWP, it has worked well for me.
