Pulling Weeds in Dreamtowns for badge = confirmed?

Okay so there is this huge debate wether pulling weeds in Dream Towns count towards your total.

I offer simple proof. I am currently NOT pulling weeds in my own town because weeding day is coming up. Yesterday I went to a dream town and pulled a couple of weeds there, because I could.

Now I wake up this morning and Phineas gave me the first Weed Cutter badge.

You can't get more proof than that.

No Problem, Well there were 2 because I want to start working on that badge, I visited the Alice in Wonderland address and one from a random person.

I'll be testing this out. My dream town is chock full of weeds and I haven't bothered with the weeding badge so I'll be finding out real soon

If you feel like testing out some more things, I'd love to see if you have any luck getting credit for the catching lots of bugs and fish and diving creatures medals from the Island Tours.

As far as I know, it's been pretty well debunked that weeding in dream towns doesn't count. Have you been pulling wilted flowers instead? That counts toward the weeding badges as well.

And my town had around 80 weeds and I visited multiple times

It's strange that there is so much conflicting data but I can assure you that I did not pull any flowers or anything, nor weeds in other towns, only in the dream town did I do it. Maybe it was a bug I don't know.

I actually got a badge today? ._____. I had no weeds in my town so I got the topiary stuff but Phineas showed up and have me a badge for pulling weeds

I wish I had known this sooner.I thought, like many people that nothing in the dreams counted.I paid someone a lot of bells so I could pull weeds in their town.I'm going to experiment with this on my farm town.The mayor is the only one that has pulled weeds.So.....I'll use the Muffin Man because I know he has never pulled a weed.

I just pulled over 500 weeds in Aika village.No phineas.I talked to Booker and he said that no one was in town.My town is nice and sunny today so the weather is not an issue.Could it be because Lief is here for weed day? I'm very doubtful of this being true.If he shows up in the next few days to give the badge then I will let you all know.

What a bitter dissapointment. I just pulled 800 weeds in Diablo, came out to find Phineas wandering around, and he gave me a letter writing badge. No weeding badges, and it's Weeding Day, so Phineas can appear on that day.

Hmm, that's interesting, I'm glad to know it doesn't work because I was going to try it out! I guess this is why I should always read to the end of the thread.
