i'll admit it i only watched it to see if there was any news on a new ratchet and clank game and boy am i hyped, because there actually is one coming out. yeeeeehaw!! no way i'll be able to afford a ps5 anytime soon (i seriously doubt i will ever be able to get one in general if i am honest) but i look forward to watching the gameplay vids....................mostly for ratchet lol

It was a huge disappointment to me.

I will own all three major consoles, simply because I always do...but there was very little that I actually came out of that briefing being excited for. I'm much more interested in the future of Xbox with stuff like pc streaming, game pass, cross-play, etc. I felt like a lot of the games showcased today were very generic. Nothing truly shocking or new. No big returns or surprises. Most of the games shown failed to impress graphically or technically. Just a flat showing overall. Gran Turismo will be upstaged by Forza (like it always is), the third party games will obviously be available elsewhere, and some of the other first party games were just not anything I'm personally looking forward to. Gta 5 being on PS5 is almost embarrassing, tbh. The game originally released on 360 and PS3, was ported to XB1 and PS4, and will now be on PS5? That's three generations of consoles without a sequel. That's not really the best look...

In the end...I know new consoles always perform poorly in the beginning. It takes time for developers to release truly groundbreaking experiences for new hardware when they're used to developing for the previous gen. But...something about this display just left me feeling even more somber than the Xbox reveal did.

Pros:
Spiderman: Miles Morales
Horizon Forbidden West
Stray
Ghostwire Tokyo

Wonder what the price is going to be, hopefully no more than £300. If it is less than £300 then I'll definitely consider it, as I'm sure Sony are going to start developing games exclusively for the ps5

I didn’t watch the PS5 livestream, but I’m personally hyped for Gran Turismo 7. It’s one of those game franchises I’ve played for a long time. There’s no release date for the game yet and that’s to be expected because the developers of the Gran Turismo series are known for not meeting deadlines very often...
