Omg I love this thread already... I'm so excited for my senior prom haha!!

I didn't go to prom at all while I was in school. Never understood the hype of wasting money on a dress I was only going to wear once. I hate parties in general so I had no interest in going and being around the stuck up snobs that were my peers just to watch them act like fools. Plus I couldn't afford the price of admission to the prom. That and I didn't really want to go with my ex (who I was dating at the time) because I knew he'd just ignore me for all his friends and then pressure me into doing things I didn't want to do afterwards.
And despite what every adult I knew told me at the time, I STILL don't regret skipping my prom.

That looks like a ballerina's tutu! I'm sure that the picture just makes it look small though... I hope the picture just makes it look small.

Oh, well at least you didn't regret it. This is my 2nd prom because I didnt pass some classes and I needed to go back for the whole semester and the friends I made this year said I need to go haha.

The pink and white dress goes to about my knees where last years was shorter. And its not tutu-y it just looks that way haha. I didnt take a photo of me in it yet so when im at prom ill take one.

Urgh tell me about it. I'm in my senior year and I so happy I'm not going to prom. The only dress I ever remember wearing was for my brother's Bar Mitzvah. Besides, I don't even have a date to go with so what's the point

I'm extremely introverted. The only time I've ever regretted anything about a school dance or ball was when I was there just standing against the wall praying for it to end quickly. xD Being around large groups of people, knowing I can't leave for at least a few hours, terrifies me and makes me feel exhausted or like I'm going to explode.
I thought that was the case about the dress! The way the picture looked at first the dress looked like it'd only come about to maybe mid-thigh! xD Dresses look really weird when laid down flat for me for some reason.

I didnt have a date last time and it looks like I wont have one this time, your lucky you got someone to go with.
We all just went as a group. She went with me last year because she doesn't go to our school anymore, so I just invited her so she could hang out and catch up with everyone.

I remember my prom, and to be honest I wish I would have worn a dress that I was more comfortable in xD and shoes that I could walk in...
And I sort of regret going to be honest. I'm really really shy about dancing, so for the most part I just stood or sat around while my boyfriend stood talking with his friends. I did do some slow dancing with him, but that was it. Everything else had the possibility of involving "dirty" dancing, and I do not do "dirty" dancing. I would have just done *****y dancing (which is about all I can do. I'm pretty terrible XD), but it doesn't mix well with high heels and a strapless dress xD
Also, I felt kinda awkward because my bf wanted to make out practically the entire time we would slow dance, and at the time I was still figuring out what I was and wasn't ok with in a relationship, I didn't tell him to stop even though I totally should have :|
It's not like I didn't have fun, but it could have been more fun. Didn't help that I didn't have many close friends at the time, and the one that I did have wasn't able to go.

I noticed after seeing the pics that my fists were clenched in all of them. I was really anxious all the time when we first started dating, and my hands were always like that :I took me a while to finally relax

Didn't go didn't regret. Didn't really want to waste my money on a alcohol-less party, with a lot people I dont really like. So I stayed home and watched nichijou with a six pack and had a nice evening. ^^
Also for some dumb reason they weren't hosting it at the school but like 3 miles away in some weird venue that i'd have to pay to get transport to.
