Problems with a visiting villager.

Hello people!

My girlfriend is playing animal crossing every day, and about a month ago she started noticing this red bird named Lucha wandering around in her shopping district.
She thought it was cool at first, that a villager she didn't have in her town (and never have had in her town) visited her shopping district like the way villagers from other towns visit the coffee shop, but now this villager has been there every single day for a full month! Sometimes outside the Nooks, and other times inside.
The villager doesn't really say or do much, but it's getting annoying for her to see it every day and not knowing why it's there to begin with.

So my question is, does anyone else have simmilar experience? And does anyone know how to get rid of the extra villager?

That's unusual. It's usually villagers who have left your town who hang out on main street. After 16 villagers have moved out after them, then they'll disappear for good.

I've heard of this happening. I'm not sure why it happens. It could be a glitch. I think it could be a voided villager from a town she'd interacted with, but I could be totally wrong.

Don't know if she's willing to wait for 16 villagers to move out to get rid of her problem, but I'll tell her. Hah.

That's wrong as far as I know.
She has only streetpassed with me on the 3ds (no one in our hometown really walk around with their 3dses outside except us) and I've never seen the bird in my town.

He was away for like a day or so, but then he came back.
