Problem with Redd?

Hello. So I reset my island 2 months ago. First I’ve donated old art that I’ve had from my old island to my museum. Redd has only showed up in my island once and that was when I donated a real painting to Blather’s and Redd was there the next day walking in my island and afaik I was able to purchase a painting from his ship. I’ve been time travelling day by day for the last month or so because I’ve been moving buildings and terraforming my island and he really NEVER shows up. I don’t have a problem with seeing other npc visitors though? Also I have donated way more than 60 items to the museum. Is my island glitched? Is there a way to fix this..?

Based on the changes from over the summer, he should be showing up on average once every 2-3 weeks. Usually every 2 weeks, but special events can upend the schedule a bit and move him back a week.

I've been playing for over a month now and I've only had him show up twice!! such a pain because it means it's going to take literally forever to collect all the art for my museum (if I don't end up trading for it haha)
