I've seen a couple of these kinds of threads around recently and decided to do my own! I have a lot of rare/random items laying around, and rather than sell them, I thought it would be more fun and interesting to do a giveaway. Hooray!
Now, what's this all about, you ask? Well, in this giveaway, I have put 50 presents in a certain spot in my town. All of these presents are random, and I will not tell you what is in any of them (I don't even know which is which, so don't ask!) Each person that comes may grab one bag, and what you get is what you get! Merry Christmas!
Rules:
Please add me before you post. After you have added me, simply tell me that you want to come. I'll add you and open my gates. ADDENDUM: I will wait for you for five minutes. If you do not come within that time frame, I will move on to the next person. I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't want to keep others waiting!
One person at a time! I'm sorry if this goes a bit slowly, but I want everyone to have an equal opportunity to grab whichever bag they want.
Once you've gotten to town, please follow me immediately and do not stray from my line of sight. I will not say hello, and I will not say goodbye. I know that seems cold, but I want this to go as quickly and smoothly as possible! Once you've grabbed one bag, I will end.
If I see you try to switch bags, or grab more than one, I will flip the switch. Don't be greedy!
This should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway: please do not come back to the thread complaining about what you got. I tried really hard to gather items that I thought people would want. Just because you got Gracie furniture when you wanted an island gift instead does not mean that it's okay to complain. Please don't be rude ;_;
With that being said, if you do happen get something that you absolutely do not want, I don't care what you do with it. You can turn around and sell it for a profit, give it to one of your villagers, or give it to a friend. Once it's yours, it's yours to do whatever you want with it!
Normal town-visiting rules apply. Do not run. Don't talk to my villagers. Y'know, the usual gambit.
You may come twice, but please grab one bag at a time!
And those are all the rules! REVISION: There was a lot of interest, but due to the fact that I had to step out, things got a little hectic! Therefore, I'll be on and off the thread, rather than doing huge stretches. I will be back either later tonight or tomorrow, however! 22 bags remain in all!
Another thing: I did not include "dud prizes." I think that each item included in the giveaway is at least somewhat valuable. Possible items include Gracie furniture/clothes, Saharah walls/carpets, rare hybrids, lucky clovers, famous mushrooms, unorderable + orderable DLC, bells, real art, villager pictures, rare set pieces, baskets of perfect Cherries, and Streetpass items.
