Previewing Custom Fireworks

So, I want to have a girl over to see the fireworks tomorrow and I've created some special messages and images that I'd like to surprise / impress her with, but... I don't want her to come over and the fireworks suck or are illegible. Is it possible to time travel ahead to test them out and then rewind time so that the festival will repeat - only this time with her there? I don't really want to test it and then the game somehow locks me out of repeating it.

Just curious if anyone has tried this, or if they know if time-traveling is a viable way of previewing the fireworks you've made. I don't usually time travel, but...I don't really want to screw this up :LOL:

I am having a fireworks show right now. So far, Isabelle allows you to set a total of 10 custom patterns. You will have to wait for a while before seeing them in the sky. You can definitely utilise time travel and test them yourself.
 
Custom firework didn't show for me with visitors. I can't change it with Isabelle either when they're here.


Edit: unless you mean they come IRL. That'll work.

Noooooo! That's so sad. I can't believe that you can't have someone over through online multiplayer to view the show! So disappointing. I guess I can video it...but that's not the same :(
 
The fireworks in general don't seem to work in a way that's conducive to what I'd created for it, so - all of the labor I'd put into what I wanted to do was, in this instance, all for naught :( In truth, even if she could have come over to watch it, the custom images are pretty fragmented and each one only stays visible for a second or two (which obviously makes written words or sentences basically impossible to read).

But, it's not the end of the world! I'll still show her what I made for her anyway (which turned out great!) - I just gotta think of a differently clever way in which to go about it :D And I can still do something special with the fireworks festival. Having tested different images, I found that sending up a message letter by letter is actually pretty effective, so... I'll probably try and say something that way (but next weekend).

I'm currently playing with a friend online and we can both see the designs I've given to Isabelle !

I gave a design I made and two others I took from the terminal.

So it's definitely working 😊

It's sort of cliche, but that's actually what one of them would say (if it was legible in one firework). I'll probably have to work on writing it out letter by letter over the next week. I mean...we've been friends for almost 14 years, and she knows how I feel about her, so maybe it wouldn't be an immense surprise. But, I'm also pretty sure that she would be moved by what I want to say...so, I think that it would be worth it. Or I'd like to think it would be 😅
 
As an aside, when I visited her town last week, she was showing me the stuff that she'd been working on but towards the end of it, we went to her town square and just sat on a bench. Since I would be leaving soon, I felt that I should take a photo. So, I stand up and pull up the Nook Camera App when just at the very second I snapped the photo, a falling star appeared direct above us. It was really surreal. I know that it's just a videogame or whatever, but what are the odds really? I imagine quite slim. She hadn't even seen a shooting star in weeks! <3

I actually have that stored away, except that it says, "I <3 P A N D A", since that's what I call her 😅 I put each of the tiles out one night over an area that I knew the plane would fly over so that she would see it - and she did. I mean, I could use the same designs for the fireworks, but I kinda wanna make something fresh! But yeah, sometimes simplicity is best.

I could go into the reasons for why we're *more* than friends but not technically "in a relationship", but I feel as though this board probably doesn't need to turn into an episode of "As The World Turns" on my account :LOL:
