preventing villagers from moving out

the last time i played the game was in october
i want to play but i'm pretty sure at least one villager moved out, and likely one i like because 8/10 of my villagers are my dream villagers and it took a long time to get to this
if i change the date on my 3ds back to october, before putting the game in and playing it, does that stop any from moving? or do i need to do something else

Change your 3ds time to the last date you played, and it?s like nothing ever happened, then you can TT around 5 days at a time, just make sure you talk to the villagers and make sure nobody moves out inbetween each TT, to make sure nobody have moved out create a new character every time you TT, and see if any of them are in boxes, if they are just change the date back to before the TT again.

I'm pretty sure that if they've already moved, they're gone. I could be wrong though (I probably am haha).
