She's been toned down now, like the cranky and snooty villagers, I hope they change that back for the next game.

Interesting. Did not know that about Phyllis, as NL is my first game of the AC franchise. Wouldn't have known about the background for the Able sisters, either, if not for a playthrough for NL. A lot of stuff new players would not pick up on.

Phyllis becomes nicer to you if you make the correct coffee for her if you work in the cafe during her appearance time
I never got to play any of the other games. But honestly I kinda want to see what the cranky villagers were like

I like Phyllis' attitude, though I am remembering it more from WW aha. I can especially enjoy her comments now i work with the public too... oh no, another customer ... XD

Phyllis has been toned-down a lot in NL. In WW, I hated to go in to have to talk to her, just to put money in my account. So I would run-flat-out to Town Hall before 10pm just so I wouldn't have to deal with Phyllis. Now I don't have to deal with her that much since there is the ABD and I rarely mail any letters, let alone doing it after 10pm.
The cranky villagers have also been toned-down a lot, but they were my favorite personality in WW.

NL is my first Animal Crossing game so I don't know how mean she used to be but I don't have problem with her in NL.I like her better than Pelly.

xD I remember Phyllis has been a meanie since Gamecube version. The 10 year old me hated Phyllis. She always mumbled "get out..." under her breath.
However I like Phyllis now cuz she brings something different to the table.
