possible to put patterns under/around the campsite?

i am wondering if anyone has ever managed to put a custom pattern on the specific square where the campsite sign is on the right of the campsite. asking for a friend who has spent an incredible amount of time trying to put one there and not been able to (it's me, i'm the friend )

Actually, I have done more testing, apparently there is a very specific angle and position you need to be in to be able to place a path in that spot. I somehow doubt it was intended to be possible? Also, trying to put custom patterns down from that specific spot still doesn't work... I can only get the in-game paths to go there. See below:

i accomplished it too!! by using the in game paths only, just the same, yeah. for me it only worked when i was connecting two of the in game paths already laid down - as if the game had to recognize that it was being joined in order to lay a path there. suuuuuch a weird semi glitch lol
