Pokemon's 10th Year

Well This Febuary marks the 10th aniversary of Pokemon Red and Green being released in Japan. If it weren't for this game I probably wouldn't be in to Nintendo games now. that was the 1st game I got on my first Nintendo system, gameboy color. the only system I had before that game was Sega Genisis and no game got me as involved as this one did. Pokemon could be played with many people and I got really good in the game.
Anyway happy aniversary Pokemon!
And may Pearl and Diamond finally be a MMORPG version of Pokemon!

Truthfully this was my first RPG a great one to start with, and I remember so much.
Especially when someone discovered Missingno and thought of it as a secret pokemon, that is when all the item codes and 256 leveled pokemon appeared. i got a Mewtwo at that level, and was unbeatable. One friend had that high leveled of a Snorlax and thought i could win, well fat chance to that!

Yeah.....I was one of those kids that were insane for it....it scarred my mind still to this day because I can remember every pokemon from the first set if you showed me a picture.....Missigno was cool....he was a trick for people and their Rare Candies to make their pokemon super strong to L99! I saw it too. If you captured one, I think it messed up your system.....I had Mew from my bro that he got from a Game Shark...but I deleted it. Missigno was like a statue. But I still buy their series because you just can't let somthing from your childhood memories die.

yeah that is why I love it. I have memories of it.
One time I went to a convention and there was on kid there basically beating and laughing at the other little kids there because he kept beating them with his level 256 Magmar, well I showed him with the Mewtwo I had. However against everyone else I never used that Mew two and did ok.

However the other thing pokemon I got into was the card game. i entered only one tournement but I got in second. it was after that I stoped playing, I guess I felt done with it.
My deck was pretty awesome though, basically a Psycic Electric deck thatworked with only basic pokemon and Aerodactle who kept others from evolving. I even beat one guy who cheated the entire time. He stacked the deck by shuffling under the table, this was in the tournement for my semifinal. It was played best 2 out of 3. we played two he won one I won one, but I noticed he started with the exact same guys. So I finally got him to shuffle over the table and his deck completely sucked then...
that was fun. and for the final battle it was really very clos in all three games he just won by a little bit.
I have too much memory devoted to video games. My mind is an archive of every game I have played....

september 28th, 1998...my first episode of pokemon that i watched...
and then i watched every weekday morning for 2 whole years...
i played the card game...i went to pokemon tcg league quite a few times...
i played the videogames...i own red, silver, snap, stadium 1 & 2, tcg; my brother owns pretty much the rest (he still plays, i've stopped)...
pokemon got me into playing rpg games...never played one before pokemon
(i wonder if i knew what rpg stood for before pokemon...heh heh)
i was a pokemon fanatic, as much as anyone else.
i might buy pearl/diamond, depending on what's new with them...
personally, i'm hoping for the pokemon mmo to be on the rev-so many possiblities.

actually I was bored and looked on it so that is why I posted this...lol :lol:

any way I hope they do a good job with diamond and pearl...and get it out this year....
