So, I have come up with a large list of tips and tricks for Pokemon many people may not know about. This guide includes FAQs, version-exclusives, tips on how to build up your team, and so on and so forth.
FAQs:
Can you explain the breeding process?
Well, when a mommy Pokemon and a daddy Pokemon love each other very much... I'm kidding. So in a nutshell, breeding occurs when two Pokemon of the same egg group are put into the daycare together. However, if you don't really care about your Pokemon's egg moves, I suggest getting a Ditto, and just sticking that in the daycare permanently. If you do want egg moves, go onto the Bulbapedia for the Pokemon you are trying to breed, and the list of egg moves and their required parents are. There are also ways to transfer IVs and EVs onto a Pokemon that has been bred, using a Destiny Knot. You attach the Destiny Knot to the Pokemon you are trying to breed.
(This info is from Bulbapedia.)
How do I increase the chances of getting a shiny Pokemon?
There are many different ways to increase the chance of getting a shiny, like using the Masuda method, or chaining. The Masuda method is when two Pokemon from different regions breed. This causes the chances of getting a shiny, bringing the rate of getting one from 1/8192 to 5/8192, or roughly 1/1638. You can also use the Shiny Charm, which is obtained from Sycamore after getting all of the Pokemon from the National Pokedex. This item increases the chance of getting a shiny from the wild up to 8/8192. There is also chaining, which is done by using the PokeRadar, an item obtained from a scientist after beating the Elite Four.

How do I quickly level up my Pokemon's affection in Pokemon Amie?
Personally, I use the following methods:
1. Play Head-it(unlimited) twice and earn good PokePuffs
2. Pet your Pokemon repeatedly until it releases musical notes instead of hearts
3. Feed it the PokePuffs you earned from Head-it
4. Rinse and repeat
(I came up with this method while raising my shiny Eevee's affection in Pokemon Amie)
Where/how do I get egg-hatching powers from Mr. Bonding?
You get them from Mr. Bonding after you have collected all of the other O-Powers(I believe there's sixteen), and go to Cafe Introversion. It is commonly believed that you go to one of the Pokemon Centers in Lumiose, but yesterday, I went to Cafe Introversion and got my O-Power.
(My friend told me how to get the O-Power, I got the other stuff from somewhere on the internet)
Tips!

To evolve an Eevee into a Sylveon, you have to raise it's affection, then raise it's level.
To evolve an Inkay into a Malamar, you have to hold your DS upside down, and raise it to level 30.
Register friend codes, as this allows you to go to the Friend Safari and experience Pokemon exclusive to the Friend Safari.
To increase your team's strength, have a balance of types. A team of all Fire-types may look cool, but one water type, and... down the drain. Literally.
Klefki is more of a support type pokemon, I think. Sweepers are split into three categories: Physical, Special, and Mixed.
Physical sweepers are pokemon where you usually invest all EVs into Attack and HP or Speed or something, while you invest EVs into Sp Atk and HP/Speed for special sweepers. Mixed sweepers are pokemon that usually have good base stats in both Attack & Sp. Attack, so you would invest EVs into both of those stats to boost it. Those pokemon are usually all offensive and have all offensive moves, with the exception of stat boosters or protect. Some examples of sweepers are like Mega Kang, Aegislash, Greninja, Mega Scizor, Mega Mawile, etc. Pretty sure all mega pokemon are sweepers, but I might be wrong. Physical sweepers also use physical moves (which is identified by the little picture in the rectangle for a move), and special sweepers usually only have special attacking moves. Mixed sweepers can have a combination.

There are different terms that apply to competitive pokemon, including sweeper, like: support, special/physical wall, & staller are ones that I can think of off the top of my head. This link may help you with some of the roles/terms for them : click !
I hope my explanation helped, and that it made sense. This is information I've gathered from my experience in competitive battles. c:
Sounds like you don't have the greatest explanation of EV/IVs :p EV's can't be transferred from parents, all born Pokemon start out with 0 EV's in each stat and can be trained from there with Super Training or just by fighting any Pokemon. IV's are set from birth on the other hand with a value of 0 (horrid/minimum) - 31 (perfect), and can't be changed. IV's basically determine how good your Pokemon's stats will be by level 100, combined with EV's, which are basically stat exp that are built up from fighting certain Pokemon (ex: I believe Magnemite gives off 2 Speed EVs, while a Sudowoodo gives off 2 HP EVs)

Also, along with having all of the other O-Powers, you must have max style in Lumiose to get the Hatching O-Power, which can be done by buying a bunch of Premier Balls individually at the Ball store in Lumiose (easiest method) or by getting haircuts (for yourself or a Furfrou) by mixing drinks at the Juice place, or working at the Hotel Richissime. Sorry for taking your thread over, I just thought I could help you and also help anyone wondering out :p

Thank you! I admit, I did forget some stuff, whoopsies!

To evolve an Eevee into a Sylveon, you have to raise it's affection, then raise it's level.

Maybe change it to, raise its affection to three hearts with the use of pokemon amie and then raise it's level whilst it knows a fairy type move.

AWESOME GUIDETHO

I got to say getting you Pokemon Affection to the max is very rewarding! I got three of the pokemon on my team it and went in a battle and owed my Garchomp Destroyed and fairy type after withstanding a fairy attack

Edit My Gengar also withstanded a dark type move lol

OMGOMGOMG YOU HAVE EEVEE IN YOUR FRIEND SAFARI LET ME LOVE YOU

Do these tips and tricks also count for Pokemon White? (Sorry if that's already answered)
FAQS one and two would. Also some of the tips, but not the version exclusives or the stuff about the Sylveon and Inkay and such. I hope you get X or Y, they're really fun!

Also, you should also know the general direction of the team. A bunch of special walls on a team like Blissey would be absolutely wrecked by a physical Lucario or Garchomp/Haxorus.

I actually went against a team almost identical to this earlier.

No match for Mega Aerodactyl huehuehue.

Tbh though I'm sick of seeing Greninja and Aegislash on EVERY team.

And is yours a Protean Greninja?

Yep Its protean! but I know my team might be like used a lot but its pretty strong! Right?

Yeah, but anything with high speed and Mold Breaker + Earthquake may be a pain. Gengar, Heliolisk, Aegislash, and Klefki would all be at risk.
