IT WAS SAD AF LIKE THEY BUILT UP THE PARTNER SO MUCH THIS TIME LIKE IN THE OTHER GAMES THEY'RE JUST SOME "PAL" YOU BOND WITH BUT THIS TIME THEY WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE THE PARTNER A DISTINCT SOMEBODY ONLY TO TAKE THEM AWAY LIKE I WAS SO SHOCKED BC IT'S ALWAYS YOU WHO GOES BACK TO THE HUMAN WORLD BUT THIS TIME IT'S YOUR PARTNER THAT LEAVES LIKE WTF IS THAT I HAD TO STOP PLAYING AFTER I FINISHED LAST NIGHT AND NOW I'M SCARED TO SEE WHAT COMES AFTER
But in all honesty, the saddest ending was the one in Blue/Red, not only because it was the first game but also because it focused on how you really were out of place, but then you fit in, only to be forced to leave just as you felt comfortable. I will never forget the "Please Don't Forget Me" theme playing as your partner leaves the Sky Fortress and heads back to town without you as the credits roll. Time/Darkness/Sky had a good one too, mainly because your partner was so torn up about you leaving.
Did not care at all for GtI's story or ending, but Super was kinda interesting. It still doesn't live up to the first two games though.
