You do realize that every wild pokemon encounter only has a 1 in 8,192 chance of being shiny? Only hackers would give them away for free.

Although it has been made easier to get shinys. And I quote:

I see no point trading normal pokemon for shiny ones. Shiny trading with shiny I can see.

i have one shiny tentacruel that i evolved from a shiny tentecool, and i got it the true way in ruby version. i didnt use whatever you call it thing but its pretty cool, and special cause its my first and only shiny so far
