Alike my Smash Brothers one I thought I'd make one for people playing Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, It's about time we got a proper matchmaking thread for Pokemon too.
Here's the Template for a Battle form, might be worked on more to involve more specific options.
Here's some information on some specifics on the form.
Pokemon version: This means what Pokemon game from Generation 6 that you're currently playing, you can list all of the versions you play if you play more than one and have a somewhat competitive team on each game.
Battle type: Singles, Doubles, Triple, Rotation or Multi Battle, simple enough.
Smogon rules: Based on their generic tiers of Pokemon, the following tiers are called:
-Ubers
-OU (Overused)
-RU (Rarelyused)
-NU (Neverused)
-LC (Littlecup)
More information on the tiers can be found here: http://www.smogon.com/xyhub/tiers
If you play Pokemon like how others should be playing it, feel free to put it as "NONE" or leave it blank.
That means: "I can use any Pokemon/Moves I want! I won't let some stupid website tell me how to play!
Preferred version: Say if you're wanting to use Pokemon that have specific moves made only for them in Pokemon ORAS (AKA; Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza) then you should only look for others with ORAS to make the battle 100% compatible with your version, however if you're using Pokemon that are compatible with Pokemon X & Y players, then you could possibly put the "Preferred version" as "Any" so both parties are aware.
I think that's all that needs to be mentioned, hopefully this'll be everyone's main choice to get into Pokemon battles instead of hopelessly posting in the Pokemon General thread hoping to find someone to battle with.
Feel free to post any questions and I'll try to answer them if possible.
