Pokemon EV/IV training.

Can someone help me with Pokemon EV training? I don't really understand it at all, so is there anyone there who can explain it to me and help me with it? I just don't really understand it at all.

Also, does anyone know what IV training is? I need a bit of help with that.

hm, i've always used this site for whenever i'm EV training

but i've never really got into that whole IV breedingscene, so if someone's got some good links ..
