Pokemon Battling Thread!

Well, I'm not sure if anybody made a thread like this before and it probably won't work very well, but here goes!:

Basically, all people do is post if they want to battle someone! You just need to post some things like what type of Pokemon, rules, mode (Normal or Unrestricted), etc. And then, someone will probably post in response or PM you and then you can do the things that you'd normally do in order to battle each other!

I'm not trying to impersonate or pretend to be a mod, but I just thought this might be a good idea!

Here's an example of what somebody should write, if it would help you understand a bit more:

I want to have a Pokemon battle!
I'd prefer to use Fire or Water type Pokemon and ones that are around level 30 - 40ish. My FC is under my avatar, so PM me if you want to battle!

Level radius shouldn't really be necessary, as the "Normal" battle mode sets all Pokemon to lvl 50 (and calculates their stats based on lvl 50)

There is of course nothing stopping people from using the Unrestricted mode, which uses the actual levels of Pokemon. If someone wants to try and beat higher levelled Pokemon, or wants to use their FEAR Pokemon

I noticed it still makes all the time and effort(20mins) you put into raising the bond you have with your pokemon rather pointless for online battles. As, from what I saw, it has no effect there. My glaceon, which I have 100% bond with, didn't even look back at me anymore. (Which broke my heart and made me cry a little inside. She's so cute when she looks back at me during battles! My skrelp, though.. that makes me shudder every time he does. I still love him, of course.)

The randomness of the Amie benefits have no place in a competitive battle.

Yeah, it's really annoying that all the time and energy put into the game's main feature of being able to train and raise the levels of your pokemon is so useless in the only thing to do once the game is completed.

I don't like the idea of Amie working in online competitive battles, or casual even. Its for speeding up the general gameplay, so it shouldn't interfere this way. Its like how you can't use revives in online battles.

Pokemon Amie is something you train your Pokemon in though; it's not attached to it like a revive. It should be in online competitive battles. I'm honestly tired of EV training being the only way to strengthen your Pokemon for online battles.

But Amie benefits are so luck based, it has no place in competitive:

Paralysis: The Pok?mon has a chance of healing itself from paralysis
Sleep: The Pok?mon has a chance of waking itself up
Confusion: The Pok?mon has a chance of healing itself from confusion
Burn: The Pok?mon has a chance of healing itself from burn
Poison: The Pok?mon has a chance of healing itself from poison
Survival: The Pok?mon has a chance of enduring a hit which would have knocked it out

Imagine what battles would be like if you couldn't guarantee KOs on Pokemon, if paralysis and burns randomly get healed.

While I agree with your point, maybe I am just hoping they release another way to train your Pokemon for online battles other than just EV training. The main reason for this is because I know before X and Y some people were hacking to get their competitive Pokemon.

I love Pokemon amie but I must agree with Karlak it has no place in competitive battling. Just imagine how frustrating it would be to the player if they lost a battle to the randomness that is pokemon amie.

But getting back on topic lol
