Pods (Spoiler)

So I found this on twitter and the way it is written seems to suggest that you can put items into the pods. Does anyone know the limits of what could be put in them? there seems to be footage of people putting some gyroids in them too.
This feature seems pretty cool if you actually can put things into them and not just choose a customization. Plus I'd love to see pictures if you do, do anything with the pods.

Petri's default house has a lucky cat in a pod. That's how I found out about it. I haven't unlocked the pod yet.

I imagine the limit is small 1x1 items, but I don't know anything else beyond that.
