I was Plot Resetting for Cube after he moved in from another town, and because he moving his house like one or two spaces per reset, I had moved back a day, made a Sign Post, moved back another day for it to be completed, and then moved two days forward (day when he placed his plot). I thought this was going to work, but it didn't, and he decided to place his plot down permanently, so now I'm stuck with Cube, my all time favorite villager, in front of my house, in the middle of my pathway. I also don't have enough room around him to work around it, so I really don't know what to do...

If I can get Cube to move out of my town and into somebody's town, will he be able to move back in, or no?

He won't be able to move back in until you've cycled out 16 villagers.

I'm confused as to why you moved back two days. That's the reason why he plotted permanently in the first place. All time traveling (even going backwards in time) counts as adding days. It doesn't matter what the in-game date is.

You would have to cycle 16 villagers first. Then you could get Cube again. I asked this when I accidently lost Roscoe. So far I only had 7 villagers move out.

I time traveled the first day to place the Sign Board project, and then the next day to have it up, even though I could have just TT'd a day up.

TTing back (any amount of time) counts as one day, so when you loaded up your mayor it placed his plot permanently. :(

What Bearica said. It's irrelevant that Cube was set to move in on [insert day]. The game registers it as, "Cube moves in in one day." You time traveled back one day to finish the Sign Board, so the game thinks, "It's been one day. Cube moves in now!"

You didn't even have to time travel back until the PWP was complete. Just having that roped-off area with Lloid is enough to prevent a move-in.

I'm sorry this happeend to you, and I hope you can get Cube back if you do the 16 villager cycle for him. :(

That was your mistake; the day the sign post was completed = the day Cube moved in. So by logging in as your mayor on that day, you made Cube's house placement permanent. The trick would have worked if you had made a new character on that day instead of using the mayor.

For future reference, you don't need to pay for the PWP or wait for it to be completed, as long as there's a roped area for it then nobody can move on top of it.

Wow, that went a lot faster than I had expected - I have managed to FINALLY go through 16 villagers, while still keeping the only dreamie currently in my town, Lolly.

Time to find Cube again... ;^;

Wow, that was fast!!
Good luck finding Cube! :)

Holy moly, that didn't take long at all! Of course if you had a bunch of villagers you didn't mind leaving behind that makes it much easier. Good luck finding Cube again, and be careful this time darling!

I let Chief move out of my town because he lived in a terrible spot before I found out about the 16 villager cycle, I'm still waiting for it to be done and that was months ago, lol. I think I have about 5 more villagers to move out.
