Plot resetting question

So I'm plot resetting for Flurry now and she was close to the spot I wanted her to be in she just needed to move 1 more space. ;o; I was wondering what do I do if I go over a day of plot resetting? I know some go through weeks so how do you do it? do you set the date and time back to stay in the same day? I also have another villager moving out in a few days so I want Flurry to move in first before the other moves out. :|

This is the first time I'm plot resetting for a villager I got from someone btw.

I haven't taken that long to plot reset (I'm not too picky so it usually gets down in <10 minutes), but I remember seeing that as long as you don't log into your Mayor/ other established characters, you should be good. c:

My town map is kinda short on space so I have to plan where they go :> but lucky you! I hope I don't take more than a day though.
I'm just worried someone might move out if I don't go on my mayor o.o but thank you! I'm trying not to tap the 'continue'. >.<

Speaking from personal, recent experience. I had Pekoe invited to move in from my campsite on Monday. Tuesday was the skip-day. Wednesday I did some resetting for her plot, but didn't have any good luck. I made some new characters today and the results were the same, her plot was still being placed. To test further I jumped to Sunday and did a few more resets, same results (plot only).

Oh, and I never logged in on an already-saved character. Only made new ones each day. Always changed date/time through the 3DS menu.

... this is a good habit so you don't have any accidental move-outs. The odds are slim, but it can happen.

Ooh :O so they still move in even on a different date. Is she your 10th villager? The thing is Flurry is supposed to be my 10th but someone's moving out in a few days. I don't know if it will interfere with anything haha. She's sooo close to the spot but she always lacks 1 space.
