Hi! Unfortunately you cannot change your island name again. If you are comfortable with it, you can reset your game and choose a new island name as long as you are the island rep!

I think resetting is the only way, but with a name like that you might be able to ask support to change it.
or pull the reverse reporting strat and see if anyone reports your island for being inappropriate, lol

Probably delete your island or suspend your switch online account....
but idk

Er... the only way to change it is to reset it, i believe. very sorry you have to do this. but, if you plan to be using online services, you'll probably be glad you changed it, as you might get reported for having an island name like that lol

i haven't heard of anyone's town name being changed as a result of being reported

i think your only option is to reset

not sure. i haven't gotten reported in this game.
they would either cut off online or they might let you change your name it was mostly a joke i'm sorry

trying to see if someone would report you for your choice of island name seems a bit risky for me since i'm not sure if that would mean jeopardizing your switch online account or not. i'd suggest you do a reset and start from the beginning to choose a different island name instead tbh.

also i spent a good minute laughing at the name lol.

Ahaha I love the name it’s just so annoying when I have to do online stuff and it’s so hard to reset but I guess I have to

no worries i totally understand why resetting would be a pain but i think it'd be wiser to actually go through with it and choose a more appropriate name for the sake of keeping your online account status good.

hopefully you have friends who can keep stuff you want on their island as you reset + you're not too far into the game yet so there's not much lost progress.

I say keep it if you still like the island name and just give people a heads up before you trade haha. Most people will understand it's just a joke.

Honestly though reading through this thread again, I'm not sure if people would report you for the name, lots of people probably picked the same thing/similar cause naming is hard, especially on the spot, and lots of people meme!! If it's not an offensive name I don't see a problem in keeping it... sure people might giggle/chuckle during trades but not a big deal right?

In new leaf my town name was Fap Town, and no one ever said anything about it!

But if you wanna be safe/feel comfortable, probably should go ahead and reset. or just embrace the island name you picked haha.

I’d think that they’d censor it if anything. I don’t think its offensive or a bad word. Keep your Island if you like the name. If you need to trade for anything I’ll gladly trade with you wouldn’t bother me.

I would think they would just suspend your online. I haven't seen anything for those reported being able to rename without a reset.

I think if you plan to be active in trading communities online then I would reset the island just because there's always going to be that one person that does report it. So, I wouldn't really risk getting too far and chance not being able to connect online or so forth.

If you're only playing with people close to you then you're probably fine.

Should you choose to reset, there's lots of kind people here that will help hold any items/bells/etc so you can reset.

Okay if you're far in the game, maybe ask support to help as some people said. If you're still starting resetting is probably the best option.
