Please help! Moving into a plot

Hi! So I put a plot of land ready for someone to move in yesterday because I am supposed to receive Goldie from someone and I woke up this morning and it said sold so I looked and it said Tipper is moving in?!? I was saving that for Goldie and it’s now ruined so if u put a plot of land of someone just automatically moves in?????

If you put a plot of land down you have a random chance of somebody moving in as early as the next day, unfortunately.

unfortunately someone will automatically move in at 5AM (day reset) if you don't invite anyone back do you have any more room for plots?

There's a chance someone else will move in the next day once you put a plot down.

Yes, if you have an open house plot, a random islander will buy it within 1-3 days, unfortunately.

Even worse is that they can glitch your plot when they move in, Zell took a open plot, and he moved out the day after, now his house is vacant, and I need to use amiibo to get rid of it.

No this was my last and final space because this plot made 10. I’m trying to get Gayle to move out but she just won’t leave! I really want room for Goldie and now I’m sad

oh no!! i'm so sorry! i know that there are guides to time traveling and speeding up the moving process out there - i don't time travel so i'm not super familiar with how to do it, but it might help if you're really wanting goldie
