I want to re-create my town because the map is not too good and I have my house in a difficult spot. But I don't want to either because I have Bob, Marshal, and Merengue in one town and I'll be less available in the upcoming season, though I have considered TTing an option because technically it's not cheating or bad.
The only things you can't change about your town are the map layout and the placement of your house/ permanent PWPs. If that bugs you, you should reset. You can get your villagers back looking around this forum!
How long have you had that town for? Will you be losing a lot of collectables/bells if you were to reset?
I don't like my map layout either, if I restarted I would do a lot differently....but I wouldn't want to lose everything I've built up
Can you work with what you have?
If it's really a massive issue for you and something you can't get past, then I would say to reset.
