So, I had this really cool idea for the new town I got today. I was going to make it Silent Hill themed, because I've always loved it so so so much, and have four character houses for Heather, James, Henry, and Alessa (who was going to be the mayor.)
I was going to get rid of all the grass and have it snowing to look like ash, have the houses based off of the characters, have dead trees, etc.

However... I ended up starting it instead as a regular town. I even have peaches as my fruit! The map is very nice also, there's lots of space and it feels massive, it has a south facing waterfall, etc. The only real problem is the amount of rocks (there's 3 condensed into a tiny area for example, and probably four others scattered).

I literally just started this town and I'm not attached to it and have no dreamies in it or anything. Should I make another pretty town and keep the one I made today, or should I make a cool Silent Hill themed town?
I do already have a developed town and a town that's coming together very nicely, but I'm conflicted.

It depends on how you are feeling!

But if you are not content with your new town, I suggest restartting it to a map that you will like. It will take some time but it will be worth it in the end!

I would suggest going with the Silent Hill idea, because you have specific--and very cool--ideas for it, and it is a theme you are excited about.

I had a similar dilemma recently; I had a whole town all planned out, but started up a random, new town instead. I liked the map and toyed with the idea of keeping it. But I thought of all the hours upon hours I'd be spending working on it, and realized that I would much rather devote that time to the planned-out town I was really excited about. :)

Woah, I really like the Silent Hill idea! I haven't seen something like that. You can even have the trees without the leaves to where they're just branches, and have the grass be all worn out. I really like that idea. ^^

If you think you'll get bored of it pretty fast though, it might result you in restarting anyways, so if you think you will, think of something you won't get tired of quickly. If you don't think you'll get bored of it though, I think you should do it!

Maybe it depends on how long you've been a fan of Silent Hill? Like if it's something you've been into for years, maybe go for it, but if it's something that might fade soon, maybe go with a more broad or general theme.

My dad played Silent Hill 2 with me when I was six and I've been in love ever since! So you're right, because I've been into it for so long, it makes sense to have a Silent Hill town. :)

Thank you! :) I've actually wanted another town for awhile, but only recently was I like, oh my gosh! Why didn't I think of this sooner! I have so many cool ideas for the houses and town and now I'm really excited to get started since others think it's cool too haha! :)

Your theme sounds really awesome, I've never seen a town like it! I like what someone said with the dead trees, it could look really cool. and the no grass thing sounds really unique.
