PLEASE HELP! I have a question about Pokemon, Mario Kart and Smash...

I'm kind of a rookie player who's looking for friends to play with the games in the title but even though these games are extremely popular I can't seem to find the right folk....
I wanted pokemon players to trade with and with all the sites I went to I didn't have luck making friends because for some reason anyone I add doesn't add me back....
with mario kart I remember going to nintendo life but they focused too much on tournaments and less on just playing for fun...
and smashboards is just too complicated for me, it's kind of similar to mario kart in the way they just focus on tournaments, what about rookie players like me who are still learning but just want some friends to play with for fun? i need friends
so the question is, is there a message board or a live chat for someone like me? you know, where I can just ask people to play with without lag or complications?

I know what you mean. I remember joining smash boards a long time ago when the SSB brawl network was relatively new. I just wanted people to play with, but their focus was on competitive play. It was frustrating. If you have SSB 3DS feel free to add me and we can play sometime!

I don't know much about Mario Kart communities, but for Pokemon, I've found the Pokemon Centre subforum here very friendly and helpful!

If you want a Mario Kart community the MarioKartWii.com Forums aren't bad, it's a nice group of fellows that don't play too competitively.

I can't really help with anything else .-.
