Hi!
I think since I opened my shop here, I improved a lot.
TBT really motivates me. I've never drawn so many digital art in one month DX

I gave my best on this. I wanted to proudly show it to the requester, but again, she doesn't seem to show any reaction. *sigh* I thought that this ignorance may be caused by me or my works, which is the main reason why I'm posting this thread.

I posted once my best work half a year ago here on TBT and I got lots of tips and advice, that's why I do it again!
I count on you guys! ;v;
Please tell me your thoughts on my improvement, criticize my latest drawing (what is good, what is bad, tips etc) and give a price check in BTB, if possible.
Well, I don't have a set price in my shop anyway, but I was wondering what people would pay for it.
Don't worry if your pricings are off, I'll consider them all! :'>
You can also be harsh or rude if you want to, I don't mind anymore.

Thank you!!

I wish I had your skills!
I can't draw hair at all T.T

You've definitely improved fast! And the coloring on your latest is gorgeous and fun
The right arm does look a little awkward tho I shouldn't be talking cuz I so awkward arms too haha (x

But I love your style keep it up and keep practicing!

Don't worry bout if someone doesn't give you feedback on a drawing you did for them as long as you know you worked your best and it looks good to you, it's good haha (:

I've also improved drawing here and on deviantart~ ik what you mean haha

You really don't need to wish for anybody's skills, you yourself are talented as heck! Your hair definitely looks good as it is!
I still love the art piece I got from you ;v;
That was the 2nd time I tried this coloring style. I learnt it from a tutorial on yt, I really like it. Coloring hair through this method needs many hours and is very tiring, though.
Urgh I knew it, the arms! I had problems with both and tried this and that, and what you can see now was the best I achieved.
I remember the time when I hated hands, now I hate arms pffff.
Haha you're right... now it feels like I didn't draw this for the requester but for you guys tee-hee c:
Let's give our best together to conquer the art world someday XD

omg i love your art style <3
the hair is really great! and its sooo cute :D

Thank youuuuu~!!
The many hours spent for the hair was worth your praising :'>

Your drawing looks amazing!!!! If I were the requester I would probably cry tears of joy -- it's just so freaking adorable xD <333
Don't worry about the requester not giving a reaction. I've been waiting for someone to give me feedback on a drawing I did for them for over a week now, they haven't even paid. d: Sometimes people just get busy and forget. It doesn't mean you're a bad artist or anything! In fact, I really envy you. The detail is just so mindblowing. ;v; Keep it up <3

Thank you so much, Kammeh!
I've come to the conclusion that people probably don't want to ignore anyone, they are just too busy, just like you said.
The requester replied just a while ago and explained that she was very busy for weeks but she said she loved my art piece and gave me a tip (it was a freebie).
Now I know that I won't jump to conclusions anymore, just because the first requester doesn't show reaction or doesn't pay, doesn't mean that the 3rd will do so, too.
*learnt a lesson today*
I'm really into details. I always thought that chibi with less details are more popular, though.
Seriously thank you for cheering me up!

I love this so much! Your coloring is primo!
I did a redline thing or you since you asked for feedback??

It amazes me all the time how fast people can draw the lineart '-'
No wonder that I need a weekend for one commission pff.
Thank you!! ;v;
Your art is absolutely adorable btw
And you're so good with proportions!
I need to stalk you *~*

Thank you so much MC4pros & selcouth!! ;v;
All of you guys make me really happy!

But how about some BTB price suggestions? o-o

eep very pretty works!
i think possibly around 400tbt+, sorry im not very good with pricing /slap
just a few tips:
- maybe try use contrasting colours to shade, since the shading looks flat and blended
- less detail in the hair, the hair looks to overpowered and therefore heavy, less shading!! remember more, is less!
- sharp shading, don't use blending tools too much as it makes it look slightly weird!

either way, its really good!!

I love your art! Probably because it reminds me of the manga I've been reading and otome games I've been playing lately lol. The hands are a little awkward and the shading for the body is a little off, but everything is super adorable. I would perhaps pay around 300-400tbt?

Haha no problem at all, thank you!
- uhmm, contrasting colors? Doesn't it look weird because of too much color difference? o-o And it's actually supposed to be blended. Or do I misunderstand something? Sorry, I'm an idiot..
- less details you say :c What a pain, I'm really into details. Well, in this case it's probably okay like this, since it's a wig and not real hair ;D
- someone said once to me that sharp shading is no good '-' Could you show me some places where I should shade sharper?

I learnt coloring method through a tutorial on yt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hL3cqoJUIo&list=FL0hVnqFBVCznlkPGI8dS1Tw&index=15 and I did it like this, if it helps to understand my weirdo shading xD
Thanks for the advice!! :'>

I wonder which manga you're talking about...? o-o
What exactly about the shading is off? Is it because of the source of light?
Could you please tell me what exactly about the hands is awkward? Like the shape, fingers, position...? All of it? DX

They're just random one shot mangas lol. The author and titles are all in Japanese so I can't type them out here sorry :( They usually have similar hair styles as your characters that's why I'm attracted to your art c:

Anyways! The light source is kinda off. For example the face, it's pointed up and looks like it's directed towards the light but it has probably the most shading. I think you should have shaded following the hair instead since that would have indicted that the hair created those shadows. The arm holding the spoon also has some pillow shading which is usually a big no-no in almost any art form. The hand holding the cup is a little too bent. If you think about it in order to hold the cup more comfortably, more fingers should be showing or perhaps you should have had her hand hold the bottom. He hands look like she's holding a phone for you to look instead of ice cream, so yeah. Hands are one of the toughest things to draw so it's still really good regardless^^

Thanks for the tips with arm, shadows and hands! I'll try to consider them next time!
I actually had to google pillow shading, now I understand.
I kinda feel ashamed, I committed a no-go for artists? O-O
*hides in corner*

- maybe a slight colour contrast, like don't use too much of the same shade, don't be afraid to experiment with other hues as shading! Being blended makes it look mushy and too scrambled
- yep! well if its what you like, then its yours, no need to change! Like you don't want a heavy big wig that could disrupt your balance ya know? you want a fitting one that people won't realise is a wig : >!
- well depends on the person, my taste is more cell shaded, sharp and with minimal blending, as i said it makes stuff look mushy.. & um possibly, the clothing, since most actual clothes have sharp folds and shadows, and yet again, the hair!

no worries, hopefully i didn't come out as rude.. : o

no no no, you're not rude at all! I appreciate your advice!

So basically, with sharp and minimal blending you mean shading like in my first art piece from 02-01-15 in my first post?
I took a detailed look on your chibi in your art thread, so I think I have some kind of idea now.

Haha, I'm sure everybody goes through that phase, don't worry! I did too when I started out and actually learned about pillow shading on here, although I only draw on Christmas cards lol. You have super cute and awesome art though so don't feel ashamed! Learning and improving is all part of the process.

Thank you so much! :'>
